offercentric proof - notebooks4free pictures - got my free 14.1" iBook G4!

My 1 year journey is finally over. I signed up for notebooks4free on January 20, 2005 and I finished the site (over 1700 referrals and 20 green referrals with completed offers later) and placed my order for a free 14.1" iBook G4 on January 14, 2006. On January 25, my free laptop arrived via FedEx. Thanks Offercentric!

Here's the screenshot of my one year journey at notebooks4free. I have to admit, after I signed up and realized that I had to refer 18 people to the site (and each of those people needed to complete an offer), I got a little discouraged. However, I spread the good word. Told my friends (who were much more receptive after I showed them my free iPod), and posted links on my websites:

Here's a few pictures to salivate over. Luckily for me, the box shipped from eCost and ecost is in California like I am, so it only took 2 days to get to me once it shipped out. Here's the box at my doorstep:

After I got the big box in the house, I ripped it open to find a smaller, sleeker box with a picture of my new G4 laptop on the side:

The tech specs on the free iBook laptop:

1.42Ghz PowerPC G4 Processor; 512K Level 2 Cache (whatever that means)

512 MB of DDR SDRAM; Supports up to 1.5GB (woo hoo...can't wait to upgrade)

60 GB Ultra ATA Hard Drive

Slot Loading SuperDrive (DVD±RW/CD-RW)

14.1 inch (diagonal) TFT Active Matrix XGA Color Display

ATI Mobility Radeon 9550 with 32MB of video memory

Built In 10/100BASE-T Ethernet and 56k modem

Built In AirPort Extreme wireless networking 802.11g and Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR (enhanced data rate)

Firewire 400 port; two high-speed USB 2.0 ports

VGA Video Output;S-Video and composite video output

Lithium-ion battery for up to 6 hours running time (that's 3 showings of Pulp Fiction :)

Included Software: Max OSX, Dashboard, Mail, iChat AV, Safari, Address Book, QuickTime, iLife (includes iTunes, iPhoto, iMovie HD, iDVD, GarageBand), iCal, AppleWorks, Classic Environment, Quicken, World Book, Marble Blast Gold, Nanosaur 2, and more (including the new iLife 06 and a trial version of iWork...man, apple sure loves their iSoftware!)

Meets ENERGY STAR requirements

It looks pretty right out of the box:

Even nicer on my coffee table (before I realized I had it turned around backwards...what can I say, it was my first Mac!):

Here it is, opened up and ready to be plugged in (as soon as I remove the orange sticker):

And here's my entry into the OfferCentric member photo contest. A picture of my new iBook with the browser open to www.notebooks4free.com (it was very easy to network the mac on my all PC network); on top of the laptop is my other favorite thing, a limited edition, king sized chocolate covered payday:

FreeSites are all about patience :) I know a lot of people who wouldn't wait a year for something like this. They probably wouldn't think it was worth their effort to try to get people to signup for the site. To me, having a free, supercool laptop is worth waiting 2 years for! Then again, I'm a patient person.

As long as you follow the instructions on the site, play by the rules, and don't try to cheat the system, OfferCentric (like other legitimate incentive based freesites) will send you the goodies. To date, I've received over $4000 worth of free gifts from OfferCentric and other freebie companies. Join me and the other freebiejunkies who have proven these companies to be legit.
notebooks4free sent to vendor - offercentric update

Woo Hoo, my status at OfferCentric's freelaptop site, notebooks4free updated today!

My status at notebooks4free is officially STV (Sent to Vendor in freesite lingo).

This usually means that the freesite actually placed the order with the vendor who sells the product (in this case, an Apple 14.1" iBook G4 1.44GHz) and they are just waiting on the vendor (hopefully Apple.com) to ship the item so they can change the status to shipped and hopefully provide a tracking number.

I heart free stuff :)

finally! 18 greens on notebooks4free.com - offercentric freesite

Finally! Almost a year after I first signed up for notebooks4free, I actually got my last completed referral (green in freesite lingo). It seems pretty rare for someone to actually get the 18 referrals necessary for the free laptop offercentric site, but hopefully now it's only a matter of time until I get my 14.1" Apple iBook G4 1.44GHz.

This is what the My Status page at notebooks4free says for me today.

Looking at my list of referrals, it looks like I had almost 1500 (1496) people signup under me for this site, and only 18 had completed offers. I had to actually copy and paste the list into a text document and look at the line count to see them all!

Let's hope the process from here on out is much quicker :)

got my free digital camera from freepay / gratis - Nikon CoolPix 7900

It's been a while since I posted, but I just wanted to update that I got my free Nikon digital camera from freepay (who has changed their name from gratisnetwork since I last posted). This is an awesome camera, made even more awesome by the fact that it was FREE!

The DHL lady was too fast for me to snap a picture of them this time, but here's what I saw when I first opened the box:

These photos were actually taken with my Canon 10D which is a digital Single Lens Reflex (SLR) Camera. The funny thing is, the free point and shoot Nikon digital has more megapixels (7.1) than my way expensive Canon DSLR (6.1)!

My little free stuff family likes to hang out together :) Here's my free digital camera and one of my free ipods chilling by the pool.

While it takes patience for these freebies, they are well worth the wait! If you haven't already started getting your freestuff, pick your free gift from the sites in the left hand column navigation and you can be on your way to freebies today!

freephotoipods.com proof - I got my free 60GB photo iPod from Gratis Network!

I got my free 60 GB photo iPod today! Happy Friday to me! The DHL guy snuck up on me this time so I didn't get to take my trademark DHL van photo.
The doorbell rang and by the time I got to the door, he was waving and driving off. He left me this nice package on my doorstep though:

Upon further inspection, I confirmed it was from GratisNetwork's fulfillment center, efulfillment (and not the filter for our refrigerator that my wife ordered from Sears :)

The reason why I was surprised by the DHL guy this time was because my status at GratisNetwork switch to STV (Sent To Vendor in freebieslang) on Wednesday (June 29th). I tried checking the DHL website to see if there was a shipment with my order number as the reference number, but nothing showed up. In fact, a few minutes before the DHL guy got here, I was on the freephotoipods site checking my status and it still said "Sent to Vendor" instead of "Shipped":

After I wrangled it inside and feverishly opened the package, I saw my nice shiny new 60 GB photo iPod. This thing will be the perfect backup for ALL my photos and ALL my music. It's the the perfect backup drive (with coolness factor thrown in as a bonus):

It's official. I now have the freeipod trifecta from GratisNetwork! My first free gift when I was still figuring out if all this stuff was real or fake was freeipods.com (got a 20GB ipod for free), then later down the line I got the ipod shuffle for free for just 3 referrals, and now this freebie really tops it off! The freeipod hat trick!

<img src="http://www.freeipodclub.com/news/images/freeipodtrifectafic.jpg" style="border:0px solid" title="the freeipod trifecta / hat trick from GratisNetwork. Thanks for the freebies!" alt="the freeipod trifecta / hat trick from GratisNetwork.
freegamingsystems proof - got my free nintendo ds from gratisnetwork!

I got my Nintendo DS from gratisnetwork's freegamingsystems.com website
last Friday. They shipped it via DHL Second Day Express delivery from
their efulfillment shipment center and I caught the yellow DHL truck as
I was pulling out of the driveway on my way to WalMart to buy Super
Mario 64 DS and Madden.
It's a pretty nice little gaming system. I have been pretty spoiled on
my Sony PSP lately, but I have to say that this Nintendo DS can really
hold its own in terms of graphics quality and gameplay! It's even kind
of stylish!

I haven't even opened Madden Football yet...my wife and I have been
hooked on playing Super Mario 64 DS. It's an addictive game that
reminds me of the simpler days of video gaming...not too far removed
from memories of pong, Super Mario Brothers was the game to have back
in the day.

Be sure to get your own cool free gaming system at
freegamingsystems.com. You can choose from either a PS2, xBox, Gamecube
or Nintendo DS. If you need something a bit more modern, GratisNetwork
is even offering the new xBox360 for free!

When a cryptic message appeared on the GratisNetwork homepage, rumors
of what the newest site launch would be spread like wildfire.
Here's what the GratisNetwork homepage looked at on May 18, 2005 at 1:20 PM PST

After a few hours, the mysterious new site was located. Gratis launched free360xbox.com just days after the announcement that Microsoft would be launching it's next generation gaming xBox system which has been officially named, the xBox 360.

The new xBox 360 will be launching in the 2005 holiday season, however
Gratis will be pre-ordering these new gaming devices for those who
signup at their free360xbox.com website, complete an offer, and refer
just 8 friends to do the same.

GratisNetwork has shipped over $8 Million dollars in free products in
the company's 5 year history, with one of their most popular giveaway
sites being freeipods.com

freepsps .com proof - I got my free sony portable PSP from gratisnetwork!

If I keep having Mondays like today, it could change its whole stigma. I got my free PSP from GratisNetwork's freepsps.com site today! I have to say, this is one, very slick, very sexy gaming device!

You have to sign for the delivery, so I make sure I'm always around when yellow DHL truck arrives with my free stuff :)

When I took at look at the box and saw that it was from GratisNetwork's fulfillment company, efulfillment, I knew it had to be my PSP!

I opened the box to see my very own, free Sony Portable Playstation Value Pack (with free sampler video). I don't remember which offer I did at the freepsps.com site to qualify for the PSP, but I think I just bought some ink for my printer through one of the Gratis offer links. I was running low on ink anyway, so it worked out perfectly :)

When I total up all the free stuff I've received from both GratisNetwork and OfferCentric, it has totalled over $2000 worth of free stuff (see my phone cam picture of all my free stuff below):

The sites and claims by GratisNetwork are definitely real. You should always read the terms of service before signing up for any service, but I can tell you from my own experience with several freesites published by GratisNetwork that they do deliver on their promise to deliver cool tech gifts.

My one piece of advice that I would highly suggest you follow if you decide to signup for any of the GratisNetwork or OfferCentric sites is: Don't try to cheat the freesites and pick "offers" that you genuinely are interested in (like Blockbuster online or Netflix).

As long as you don't try to cheat, you should have no problem getting all types of free gifts from GratisNetwork or OfferCentric!

I'll leave you with a nicer photo of my new Sony PSP that I took with my Canon EOS10D digital camera (I bought the camera, but you can get a cool free digital camera from freedigitalcameras.com):

Get started today and signup for your own free stuff using the links on the left hand side of this site!

FreeDesktopPC Proof - received my free CyberPower Gaming PC from GratisNetwork

This is turning out to be a great Friday! This morning I got my $250 cash via PayPal from the OfferCentric site, PSPs4Free and this afternoon, the UPS guy shows up with a huge box from CyberPower Inc. My new free gaming PC from freedesktoppc.com!

The UPS guy tried to take off before I could snap my official "UPS-Truck-Delivering-My-Free-Stuff" photo...but I caught it with the quick draw of my phone camera:

He handed me this huge, heavy box. Computers from Dell come in nice, cute regular size boxes. I guess a monster gaming PC has to come in a monster sized box:

After much box cutting and package flinging, I finally reached the prize inside. A slick looking CyberPower XBlade gaming PC. It's got a clear left side panel, a chrome looking front face, a digital display for mp3 information, and tons of other cool gadgets (including a blue neon light inside!)

Now I just have to hook it up to my free flatscreen and I'm ready to go!

You know you want a free PC, signup for your own free gifts with the links to the left.

Here's a couple more pics to entice you :)

Tips on Getting Referrals - try trading with other people

I have to thank a couple of websites for helping me to get my referrals for PSPs4Free.

The fact is, sometimes telling your friends and family about these free gift sites is not enough, it helps to share it with people who already understand how it works.

Getting Referrals

The following websites are great resources for getting help competing the requirements for the various freesites like freeipods.com, psps4free.com and others.

RefStop

RefStop is a revolutionary service designed to provide members of all the free prize sites (such as FreeiPods.com) to get together in one place and quickly and easily trade referrals. RefStop.com gives you an amazing opportunity to get in contact with a whole group of people who are all looking to do offers for each other without needing to download any tracking software!

Basically how it works is: Let's say you need 3 more referrals to complete the requirements at freeipods.com. You've already got two of your friends to try it out, but you're having a hard time getting 3 more.

That's where RefStop comes in. You can register at RefStop and interact with over 1500 members that are all looking to complete different free prize sites. So you login to RefStop and use their easy to use control panel to "request a trade" with another member.

What this means is that in exchange for that person signing up and complete an offer under you at freeipods.com, you agree to signup and complete an offer under their link for another freesite (like freephotoipods.com). It works out great for both parties. You are both one step closer to getting your free gift, and you are on your way to getting another cool free gift (in this example, a free photo iPod).

The entire system is based on a trader "feedback" system similar to the one eBay uses. When a trade goes well, each person leaves positive feedback for the other. You can quickly see which traders have a history of positive feedback and which traders you may want to avoid.

ReferralSwapper

Referral Swapper allows users to trade referral links for free product websites (such as FreeiPods.com) and other referral-based programs. Users are automatically matched up with other people to make trading easy and efficient.

ReferralSwapper.com offes a similar service as RefStop, with a few small differences. Definitely worth checking out to help you complete your requirements and get your free gift!

It's official, OfferCentric is definitely legitimate. I received my $250 PayPal payment for completing their PSPs4Free site today (April 29, 2005).

I have to say, that was a super quick turnaround time when it comes to freesites! I received notification that my account had passed review on Tuesday morning (Apr 26, 2005). I placed my order the same day to get my PayPal payment, and only 72 hours later, the cash is in my PayPal account, ready for me to spend on some cool PSP games and accessories.

Thanks OfferCentric for raising the bar for freesite standards (and for the $250 bucks)!

I just got notification that my FreeDesktopPC from GratisNetwork has shipped today via UPS!

Since Gratis doesn't send out emails that notify you when your item has shipped, I've been relying on icfreepod to light up. And today it did:

They used UPS instead of DHL for this shipment. It appears the PC is coming direct from the CyberPower production facility, which is located in California. That means I get my new Gamer PC tomorrow!

GratisNetwork has shipped the first batch of Free Sony Playstation Portables (PSP) to its members today.

It looks like those that were in the "Processing" stage as of the end of March all made it in the first batch.

This was the message I got from ICFreepod today:

So I logged into freepsps.com and checked on my order status to confirm and my order has indeed shipped and will be delivered by DHL no later than Tuesday of next week (May 2, 2005)!

my review of OfferCentric - psps4free referral based incentive site

Up until now, I've mainly been focusing on GratisNetwork freesites. They seem to be the originators of the the referral based incentive site genre, and they also have the best track record for shipping free gifts to their members. According to their website, they have shipped over $8 MILLION dollars in free gifts in the 5 years they have been operating.

Today, I'd like to introduce OfferCentric, LLC the next biggest player giving out cool free stuff! OfferCentric has made a name for itself by following the referral based free gift theme but with a few extras that help it standout from the GratisNetwork shadow...

OfferCentric is successful by adding friendly Customer Service to the freesite mix. Emails to customer service are often answered with "human like" answers instead of the cold, and sometimes unfriendly answers that people have received when trying to contact GratisNetwork with issues.

They also send friendly email notifications when the offer you complete has registered in their system.

Another important distinction is that once you have received the necessary number of referrals, your account is automatically sent for review. Once your account has been reviewed for legitimacy, then you are sent an email notification letting you know you can order your free gift through their site.

This is in contrast to the system setup at GratisNetwork, where you have to remember to login to your account to see if you have completed all your referrals so you can click the "Request Approval" link for your account to be reviewed before you can place your order.

They also offer the option to get cold hard cash (payable via PayPal) when you complete the necessary referrals, which allows you to spend the money any way you like.

For example, I recently completed their PSPS4Free site which requires 5 referrals (similar to Gratis) to get a free Sony Portable Playstation (PSP). Since I already had a free PSP coming from Gratis, I decided to take the $250 cash so I can buy some cool games for my soon-to-arrive PSP.

From the many reports I've read on the web regarding the processing time from free gift ordering to delivery, they seem to have a much quicker turnaround than their GratisNetwork counterparts. Of course, this could be attributed partly to the fact that GratisNetwork is a much larger company which has a larger memberbase of members to manage.

I placed my "order" for my $250 via PayPal today, and from I understand, I should have the payment in my PayPal account by this Wednesday or Friday. I'll be sure to report back once it has been received.

I like being able to fully test out sites before I recommend them to others. That way, if I find out a site isn't legitimate, it's only me that gets burned, rather than sharing the bad mojo with my friends and family. After my experience with PSPs4Free, I am happy to recommend any of OfferCentric's websites to people interested in cool free gifts. Their current free offerings are listed below. I'm hoping to get a free laptop / notebook from OfferCentric next. Feel free to signup through my link below :)

Initial reports from back from Gratis customer service seems to state that the PSPs should be shipping out tomorrow, April 27, 2005! That means I could have a sexy PSP in my hands as early as next week!

completed my referrals for freepsps.com

I completed my referrals for freepsps.com and my status at GratisNetwork is "processing"

I actually completed all my referrals several weeks ago and have been processing for a couple of weeks now.

Like many who have completed the freepsps offer from Gratis, I am stuck in the processsing stage due to Gratis's lack of PSP inventory.

They originally said they had "pre-ordered a ton" of Sony PSPs, so we would most likely be getting our free ones before our friends got theirs.

It seems like their pre-order didn't go as planned. Many local stores have the PSPs in stock (target, walmart, bestbuy, circuit city, etc), however Gratis still hasn't received their "pre-order" shipment.

So like most things in the freesite world, it comes down to a waiting game :) I'm not too worried about it because Gratis has come through time and time again with delivery of cool free stuff. This one will probably just take longer to ship than the others.

On a happy note, I'm very close to completing my requirements for the freedesktoppc from Gratis!

I'm starting to like DHL. Today they showed up 2 days early, carrying a free ipodshuffle from Gratis (and some ink I ordered from Xerox).

I like that DHL delivers both early in the day and earlier than their "estimated delivery date" on the website. Looks like they do the "estimating" the old fashioned way; overestimate a bit so you're never late :)

So far this makes a free ipod, a free samsung flatscreen LCD TV/Monitor, and now the new, super hot, free ipod shuffle that I've received from Gratis. Hopefully I can get a free photo ipod for my wife, so she can stop using my iPod :)

<img src="http://www.freeipodclub.com/news/images/freeipodshuffleflatscreenandipodproofpic.jpg" style="border:0px solid" title="pic of my free ipod shuffle, flatscreen and free ipod.
For people that completed their 3 referrals earlier (January and before), they shipped out the first batch of ipod shuffles last week. It looks like this second shipment covers people that were on "Sent to Vendor" status up until today's date.

Gratis is proving itself to be the premier freesite. They have the most reliable track record of shipping the items and providing unique products without requiring many referrals. It's clear they will be around and stable for the forseeable future.

I can't believe I didn't post this earlier! My freeflatscreen came a
day early! According to the UPS tracking, it was supposed to arrive on
Tuesday, but it actually arrived on Monday!
The UPS guy dropped off a floppy package at my door and I was like
cool, a t-shirt. I grabbed the package and was headed back inside when
he said, "hold up, I've got another one for ya".

He brought back a nice rectangle box with SAMSUNG printed on it! I had
to sign for it, and he looked at me kinda funny when he read the label,
like "what the heck is freeflatscreens.com", but he didn't ask.

I ordered the Samsung 501MP from freeflatscreens.com and true to their
word, GratisInternet delivered a free flat screen to my doorstep.

That makes 2 supercool free gifts that I've received from Gratis: a
free iPod (~$300 retail value), and now a free flatscreen (~$400 retail
value)!

For completing a couple of decent offers (blockbuster and ColumbiaHouse), I would say it was well worth it.
I was credited for the offer roughly 5 days after I signed up and the

How Does this Free Stuff like freeipods.com Work?

Many times I get asked "how can these companies give away *free* stuff?" and "so, what's the *catch*?"

This page will explain how the process works and how the companies can stay in business giving away free stuff. I'll also try to explain how there are no real "catches" with the process.

I've received several free items from the various free sites
published by GratisNetwork and OfferCentric. I've also done a bit of
research on the "business" behind the free giveaway model.

Here's how it works in a nutshell:

When you register at a site like freeipods.com, the first thing you
do is select which free gift you want by clicking on the button under
the gift, enter your email address and create a password.

I
recommend using your regular ISP address or a free email address from
either yahoo.com or gmail. I originally tried signing up with my
hotmail.com address because I was worried about getting spam, but the
validation email they send NEVER made it to my inbox or spam filters at
hotmail. When I used my gmail address, the verification email from
freeipods.com went straight to my inbox. I also have to note that I haven't received ANY spam email from either GratisNetwork or OfferCentric.

After you enter your email address and click the "Continue"
button, you will be taken to a series of surveys. Feel free to answer
yes or no to the surveys, however they do not have an effect on you getting your free gift.

After the last survey question, you will be taken to the main freeipods (or whichever freesite you signed up with) "Welcome" screen. This page lists the "offers" that you have to choose from. You have to complete one offer before you can qualify for your free gift.

An offer can be any type of free trial, product or service that is listed on the Welcome screen. You have to click through the links on the offers page to make sure your offer is tracked correctly.

This is an important part of the process, because this is how the
freesites like Gratis and OfferCentric get "paid" so they can give away
the cool free gifts like free ipods, flatscreens, laptop computers and
more!

Just select one of the offers that interests you the most. There are usually quite a few to choose from and they try to put in relevant offers so there is something for everyone:

Like movies? Try the BlockBuster online trial offer to get great
DVDs delivered to your door. Need ink for your printer? Buy your
ink through the offer link at freeipods and get credit for doing an
offer and be one step closer to your free gift. Need a new credit card?
Apply and get accepted through the offer links at the freesite so you
can get more credit and get a free ipod!

Once you have completed the offer, Gratis (or OfferCentric) will
review your account to make sure you are properly credited for doing
your offer. Some offers get credited instantly, some offers will be
credited after several days.

In the meantime, you can move on to the next step in the process: referring friends.

If you click in the 'Refer Friends' link in the navigation bar at the top of the screen at freeipods.com (or the other freesites),
you will be taken to a page that will give you your unique referral
link and also present you with some tools to help you let your friends
know about this great free offer.

You can either type up your own email and send it to your friends
(don't spam), or you can use their form to have a pre-written email
sent to the email addresses you enter. You can also post your
link in your blog, on your website, in your forum signatures where
permitted, etc.

For the freeipods offer, all you have to do is have 5 of your
friends signup using your link and each of them just needs to complete
one offer.

Once you have 5 people that signup and complete an offer, you just
login to your freeipods page and click a "Request Approval"
button. After they review your account and your referrals, you can
login and place your order for your free gift (and get free shipping).

Keep in mind that they check each account and your referrals very closely to prevent fraud. Do not try to cheat the system
by signing up twice, or doing offers for your friends. They take fraud
very seriously and will suspend accounts that are found to be violating
their terms of service. Just follow the rules and don't try anything
shady and you won't have any problems.

To date, I have 84 referrals and out of those, only 4 people have successfully completed an offer at freeflatscreens.com

If you have followed a link on this website and completed an offer at freeflatscreens.com, please let me know.

I'd like to get some emperical data together just to make sure things are on the up and up.

I've contacted them via their helpdesk form on the site and they say their site is functioning normally. It does take up to 4 weeks (possibly more) for a completed offer to show up, depending on which offer the person does.

Right now, it looks like it's just a waiting game.

I'm still using my freeipod almost every day. I never thought having all my music in such a compact form would be so handy! Working out, and now in the car thanks to WOOT (or anywhere with an FM signal)! Everywhere I go, there's music :)

There was a small glitch in the signup process at FreeFlatScreens, so when you got to the third step of the signup process, one of their pages showed up blank.

This caused people to be confused as to their signup status. Many of the people I talked to didn't know they could still login and complete an offer.

I contacted freeipodclub.com using their online form and they tell me they have the situation fixed.

Woo Hoo, today's the day!

After a small misdirection by the UPS sorting center, the man in the brown suit has delivered my free iPod!

Looks like freeipods.com ordered the 20 GB ipod from ecost.com.

Because of the long backorder on the iPods and the new launch of the HP (hard drive) Powered iPods, freeipods.com allowed me to select an HP ipod as my freeipod choice (even after my order was already placed) so my order could be fulfilled faster:

Virtually 2 months to the day I signed up for freeipods.com (thanks Ned), I received my free ipod at my doorstep.

I'll post a nice little timetable graphic soon :)

Thanks to those who signed up under me and who helped me get my ipod.

Stay tuned for the launch of freeipodclub.com. A site I'll be launching to help others out there take advantage of this great free offer (it'll be designed to help you get referrals).

Woo hoo. My FREE ipod finally shipped today.

I placed the order on August 6, 2004 after I had completed all my referrals, and 6 and a half weeks later, I got my ship notification via email:

I logged into my freeipods.com account and sure enough, the order status changed from "Sent to Vendor, Waiting on Product" to SHIPPED with a UPS tracking number next to it!

Depending on where they are shipping the ipod from, I should have it within 1-5 business days! I was able to choose a different freeipod because of the backorder on the regular ipods from apple. I got one of the new HP + ipod powered ipods. Same thing as the original, just with an HP hard drive.

Now that my free ipod is on the way, I can't wait until I complete the requirements for my free flat screen or my free desktop PC!

On Friday, August 6, my referrals were approved by freeipods.com and I was able to place my order for my free ipod!

Looking at their FAQ, it shows that their supplier is backordered on the 20 GB iPods (that's the one I picked), so it should be shipping out sometime next week or so.

Below are the screenshots from the order confirmation and the email they sent.

This is the message I received after my referrals were approved:

The next step was choosing my free ipod (20GB of course!):

The next step was inputting (and confirming) my shipping information:

They they nicely thanked me for my free ipod order:

I checked my GMail account right afterwards and they sent a confirmation email:

This is the email letting me know they received my order:

When I clicked on Order Status, it says my order is pending (as of Aug 12, the status is "In Progress 3"):
