02 Feb '06 - + 23 - 16 offercentric proof - notebooks4free pictures - got my free 14.1" iBook G4!My 1 year journey is finally over. I signed up for notebooks4free on January 20, 2005 and I finished the site (over 1700 referrals and 20 green referrals with completed offers later) and placed my order for a free 14.1" iBook G4 on January 14, 2006. On January 25, my free laptop arrived via FedEx. Thanks Offercentric!
Here's the screenshot of my one year journey at notebooks4free. I have to admit, after I signed up and realized that I had to refer 18 people to the site (and each of those people needed to complete an offer), I got a little discouraged. However, I spread the good word. Told my friends (who were much more receptive after I showed them my free iPod), and posted links on my websites:

Here's a few pictures to salivate over. Luckily for me, the box shipped from eCost and ecost is in California like I am, so it only took 2 days to get to me once it shipped out. Here's the box at my doorstep:

After I got the big box in the house, I ripped it open to find a smaller, sleeker box with a picture of my new G4 laptop on the side:

It looks pretty right out of the box:

Even nicer on my coffee table (before I realized I had it turned around backwards...what can I say, it was my first Mac!):

Here it is, opened up and ready to be plugged in (as soon as I remove the orange sticker):

And here's my entry into the OfferCentric member photo contest. A picture of my new iBook with the browser open to www.notebooks4free.com (it was very easy to network the mac on my all PC network); on top of the laptop is my other favorite thing, a limited edition, king sized chocolate covered payday:

FreeSites are all about patience :) I know a lot of people who wouldn't wait a year for something like this. They probably wouldn't think it was worth their effort to try to get people to signup for the site. To me, having a free, supercool laptop is worth waiting 2 years for! Then again, I'm a patient person.
As long as you follow the instructions on the site, play by the rules, and don't try to cheat the system, OfferCentric (like other legitimate incentive based freesites) will send you the goodies. To date, I've received over $4000 worth of free gifts from OfferCentric and other freebie companies. Join me and the other freebiejunkies who have proven these companies to be legit.
